INNER TRANSFORMATION – December 2011 issue

Little children are the most marvelous teachers when it comes to our re-learning who we really are in this Universe. Case in point: this weekend I joined my nearly 3-year old godson, Ivan, and his family at the Idaho Springs hot springs.

Ivan LOVES to swim in hot water. The hot springs pool is nearly 5 feet deep but that doesn’t stop this toddler. Encased in his flotation water suit, he looks like Superman. Tell him so and he’ll shoot you an all knowing ear-to-ear-grin. The truth is, he knows he IS Superman. In his water armor he can jump into the deep water, get completely immersed and always wind up with his head above water. No matter what. He’s completely trusting and secure in the knowledge that he is supported.

What impressed me most though was something that happened three hours into our watery adventure of swimming, jumping and noodle races with the big boys. Ivan swam over to me, laid his head on my forearm, stretched his body out in the water and fell sound asleep. Secure and trusting that he would be supported, he relaxed into the moment, completely oblivious that he was in deep, hot water. (A place we’ve been ourselves, from time to time with much less trust, yes?)

“Lest we become like little children.” The absolute belief that we are supported and invincible is a wonderful launching pad for this issue of Inner Transformation. We’ll talk more about our inner 2-year old…seems to be a theme! We’re also doing a little “outer” transformation with the newsletter starting in January. We’ll be going to one article a week rather than 5 articles a month. Easier and quicker for you to read! In the meantime, here’s what’s in store for you this month: (click on the link to go to each article!) Enjoy!

10 MINUTE PROSPERITY TOOL: Where Would You Spend a Dollar to Do the Greatest Good? Imagine if I gave you a dollar in change. What would you do with the money? How many lives would you transform with a dollar? It’s easy to get caught up in the belief that we can’t make much of a difference with what we have. Or we make the decision to use the dollar to buy a lottery ticket in the “hope” that we can transform that dollar into something “truly” useful. (read more)

CONFLICT DISSOLUTION: Why Playing Fair Sets Us Up for Failure An interesting commentary posted on CNN.com by Julian Zelizer caught my attention last week. Zelizer is a professor of history and public affairs at Princeton University. He outlined his own personal strategy for how Democrats could win the 2012 election. The key, says Zelizer is fairness. And he’s not talking about fighting fair in campaign sound bites. He was talking about building the Democratic campaign around a platform based on fairness. The only challenge is this: people have different ideas of what is “fair.” And unless everyone has the same standard of fairness, trying to play fair is a losing game. (read more)

ON A POSITIVE NOTE: How to Vote Your Inner 2-Year Old Out of Office Does it feel sometimes like your inner two-year-old was elected “boss of you” and is trying to take up residence as president for life in your world? A subscriber wrote who feels a bit like that. She knows what she wants to create in her life, yet she’s resisting taking the next step toward what she desires. (read more)

FINANCIAL RECOVERY: How to Select the Best Credit Card to Rebuild Your Credit If you’re looking to get a credit card to rebuild your credit, a good secured credit card may serve you better than an unsecured card. That said, finding a good secured credit card is getting a wee bit challenging. Many creditors have done away with secured cards, or have created secured cards that actually hurt you financially. SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT: What Tim Tebow Can Teach Us About Manifesting and The Power of Faith Forty years from now, when Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow is bouncing his grandchildren on his knees, someone’s going to make a film about this year’s NFL football season. I can see it now, ala Rudy, the inspiring, gritty story of Notre Dame’s Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger. My screenplay (if I was tapped to write the story) would focus the audience’s attention on the lesson Tebow teaches us about how the power of faith contributes to our ability to manifest our desires, time and again. Just to backtrack a wee bit, (read more)

“I was fortunate enough to attend your seminar in Palm Harbor, FL in October 2011. I had been seriously looking for another job since January 2011 and had not had any success. While at your seminar, I purchased your CD titled “How to Manifest the Right and Perfect Job”. I listened to the CD several times and followed your guidance. Within a few weeks of completing the CD I was granted 2 interviews from 2 different companies. After interviewing with both companies, I was offered the position I wanted the most. To add even more delight, I received my follow up letter from you the next day. I read what I had written regarding moving into a different career. It brought me to tears…tears of joy. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time out of your busy schedule to conduct a seminar at such a small venue. This is a life changing career move for me. Many thanks for everything you did to help those of us that were fortunate enough to hear you speak that night! — Debbie B., FL
