Welcome to Day 25 of our 30 day celebration of the 5th Anniversary of
Giving Thanks: The Art of Tithing, by Paula Langguth Ryan – where we’re answering 30 questions about tithing!

This was in response to an exercise that’s in the Giving Thanks Tithing Mastery Study Guide… a coaching client got this exercise and, well… read for yourself what happened…

Dear Paula,

I wanted to thank you so much. I am still chewing on the exercise seeds you left me with (when we talked). The not giving assignment you suggested back then was a profound shift for me. I never properly thanked you – in fact, if I told the truth about it, I was terrified to see you again for fear of what other demons you might unearth. Giggle – that not giving thing was huge for me…

So thank you for helping me find that I was living my life as an apology for my very existence. What I do now in my life is pretty much the same – I serve and I do almost all the same stuff and yet the vibration or the intentions seem different. I don’t think I used to wake up with “How can I serve today so I can apologize for being alive?” in my mind, and yet the underlying tone must have been in there for your work to have resonated so strongly.

When I got your email update I shuddered – eeek – I remember her – that was hard!!! Today I reflected on it differently; on where I might be if you hadn’t come on my path, and I was washed over with this sense of gratitude for how kindly and gently you presented this truth to me. You just had me look at it. You didn’t say awww poor baby she can’t take it.

You pushed me beyond my known comfort levels and I thank you for it. I thank you for allowing me all this time to grow into it as well. In reality this note could have followed the coaching and yet you are first getting it today.

So Paula, my dear.  Thank you for how you show up! “The Sheila show” is forever touched by my path crossing yours. You may not even remember who I am and still I will never ever forget you. Thank you for the work you do. Thank you for being an inspiration to many and GOOD JOB! — Love, Sheila S., MA

Dear Sheila,

Thank you so much for your beautiful email, Sheila! I remember you with great fondness and am SO grateful that the NEW YOU is showing up in such wonderful ways!

Peace and prosperity,
